Israel & Melissa
September 21st, 2019 - Römer, Frankfurt, Germany

Information

Expert Tip: Since we'll be toasting right after the ceremony (10:00 am) and then jumping
into wine and snacks, a good breakfast before the
ceremony is your best friend ;-)
10:00 - 11:00 Ceremony
Location: Standesamt (City Hall) Römer (See "A" in the "map" tab.)
Address: Römerberg 23, 60311 Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Please arrive here at 10:00 at the latest.
We will show up just after 10:00 and need to be
in the Standesamt by 10:15 so that the ceremony can start at 10:30.
The ceremony will last about 30 minutes, followed by toasts
and photos in the square outside.
11:30 - 13:30 Wine and Snacks
Location: Cafe am Liebfrauenberg (See "B" in the "map" tab.)
Address: Liebfrauenberg 24, 60313 Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Our first stop after the ceremony is Cafe am Liebfrauenberg, close
to the Kleinmarkthalle, a few hundred meters from the ceremony.
Here we’ll have some appetizers and wine.
(In the Kleinmarkthalle vendors sell local produce
and international products.)
14:30 - 16:30 Boat Trip on the Main River
Location: Primus Lines dock at the Eiserner Steg
(See "C" in the "map" tab.)
Address: Mainkai 39, 60311 Frankfurt am Main
Join us on a relaxing cruise through Frankfurt on the Main river.
(Drinks and food are not included in this boat trip,
but will be offered nonetheless to the guests at their own expense)
17:00 - Open End Reception
Location: Freigut Frankfurt
Address: No street address, but check their website to see the location
on the map or go to "D" in the "map" tab.
The Freigut is located across from where the boat dock is (a white
restaurant boat on the river).
Just cross the Iron Bridge to get to the other side of the river
(Sachsenhausen-Nord).
Read all about the reception program (dinner seating, kids' activities, menu,
speeches, dancing etc.) in the "Reception" tab.
The map below will show you the locations of the events in the itinerary.
(Please zoom in to the map for a closer view and click on the locations for more information.)

A: Ceremony at Standesamt (City Hall) Römer

B: Snacks and wine at the Kleinmarkthalle (small regional market)

C: Boat ride on the Main river

D: Reception at Freigut Frankfurt
All the events related to the big day (the ceremony, the reception, etc.) are located within a radius of about 500 meters, which means you can travel between all locations on foot. This also means you can book a place to stay, if you want, right in the city centre. The cost may be a bit higher, but take into account that you won’t need to use any means of transportation (metro, taxi, etc.).
Here are some hotels in Frankfurt:
General Information
Seating and IDs: As a fun activity to break the ice and help you meet our guests
from all over the world, you will have the enitre day up until the
reception to find the person who has your name and seat number.
That also means that you will be holding another guest's
name and seat number. You will be given this slip of paper along with a wedding guest armband right before the ceremony at 10:00 am.
Kid's Activities: From the very start of the reception until the end of dinner there will be a face painter on board for kids (and adults). There will be some colouring supplies provided for each kid.

Black Tie or National/Regional Gala Dress

For this very important and meaningful occasion we would like to ask our guess to dress according to black tie etiquette (Tuxedo, Smoking) or National or Regional Gala Dress (e.g. Scottish Highland Dress, Bavarian Tracht/Dirndl, Mexican Charro outfit, etc.).

(This dress code is not mandatory, but it would be lovely to see the diversity of our guests represented in the day’s attire. However, please feel free to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable).

If you want to rent a tuxedo, here are a few places in Frankfurt that provide rentals:
We don't have a gift registry and are not requesting anything directly. If you like, feel free to give a gift as is customary for you / your country of origin.
